Best Greek Island?

My favourite is Skiathos but I'm looking for another for a holiday in July. Sandy beaches, tavernas, bars & restaurants with a bit of a buzz in the evening.
Any recommendations?

Not much of a nightlife in thassos. Very quiet, very green island. It's very relaxing.

They are all good in their own way. In three weeks time I'm off to Tigaki in Kos. However, my favourite is Skiathos.

I've visited about 12 islands and although it may seem as a too obvious choice I have to go with Santorini.
There are many wonderful islands, but I think Santorini has something unique, that you wont find anywhere else, probably in the whole world.
The volcano, the caldera, the architecture, everywhere you stand it is worthy of being on a postcard.

Going to Skiathos next week. I want another island for July. Thassos is looking good but sounds like it might be a little quiet in the evening. Anyone know more?

Ios is good, and manageable.
Crete is good in parts, but massive.
Rhodes is good, Lindos and Rhodes Town are both great places.

Usually go to Kefalonia, but we're off to Rhodes this Summer, the Atrium Palace at Kalathos.
Been to Crete and Zante as well, all superb. Been Cyprus twice an all. Paphos, I liked it there too.

Where would you stay in Thassos for a decent nightlife similar to Skiathos town? The beaches look excellent.

Skiathos is my favourite. Thassos was nice and quiet too
